There is no better father-son duo in sports than Ken Griffey and Ken Griffey Jr. Their relationship personifies everything that Father’s Day represents. So in 2023, we made them the face of our Father’s Day campaign.

THE COMMERCIAL
With the idea that no father or baseball player bats 1.000. We had Junior narrate over clips of their playing days and video of them in the present crescendoing on the moment when he hit his 500th home run on Father's Day 2004 and immediately hugged his father in the stands.
This ad ran nationally for the length of the baseball season, beginning on Father's Day. Since it performed so well, it was also renewed in 2024 for Father's Day.
THE MERCH
As an additional pulse moment, we created a limited edition merch capsule for the 2023 All-Star game in Seattle, Junior's old stomping grounds. I created multiple illustrations of the Griffies and combined them with iconic elements from the Budweiser brand.
